Kevin began his career in 1972 installing and servicing aircraft electronics with an Associates Degree in Avionics. In 1978 he relocated to Aspen and ran the electronics department of the Miners' Building for twenty-one years, becoming General Manager. Then as a Client Services Technician for one of the local big-boys, he serviced and installed the most sophisticated home theater and home automation systems on the market. This is where Kevin learned what works and what doesn't.
Beginning May 1, 2001 Kevin and his wife Rachel established Kevin's Connections, working directly with you and your clients installing new equipment, pre-wiring homes, servicing existing equipment, and providing solutions for making it all easier to operate.
Over the years Kevin has earned the trust of all of his clients, many property managers, and other service providers.
Kevin's Connections installs and maintains Direct TV and Dish Network satellite systems. They also install Panasonic telephone systems and some lighting controls.

The House as a Whole
Many times the homeowner will call the cable company to fix a cable problem or the satellite company to fix a satellite problem. They come in and make sure their equipment is working but pay no attention to the whole picture. They will ignore deeper issues that may be causing problems and even disable other competing companies distiribution systems to make theirs work.
Kevin's Connections considers the house as a whole to make sure everything works together. We go far beyond what these vendors are willing to do, running cables where they need to be and providing services that get the outcome you desire.
We will call in these vendor companies if it proves more economical for them to do the work than me, but you should always have me oversee the project because we view all of the equipment in the home as a whole.

Policies
Mounting TV's in non-recommended places:
Kevin's Connections will mount a TV just about anywhere you want it. However, be aware that the manufacturer warranty only covers defects in material and workmanship for a specific period of time. This does not cover damage from heat, moisture, or harsh environments.
While we have mounted TV's in pool areas, above fireplaces, and outdoors, we do not cover any damage to the TV from the environment in those locations. The liability is yours. Some TV's are specifically made for outdoor use. The Terms and Conditions of the Warranty should be carefully read and understood.

Most people don't know that buying a television through a home electronics professional is different than buying one through a big box store, or even online, for the following reason:
Even if you buy the same brand and model number from a large retailer or discount chain, it's not the same product. The sellers have the resources to dictate that the manufacturer provide them with a product that meets a specific price point. The manufacturer then does what it takes to provide that product. That means slacking off on the specifications and compromising the performance.
When you purchase a TV from Kevin's Connections that comes through custom home media channels you are assured of getting the manufactures best quality product.
If circumstances dictate that you must purchase your component from a discounter, always purchase a major brand. Choose a Sharp, Sony or Samsung. Stay away from Vizio and brands you've never heard of.
